MX Player for Android gets a new update with major fixes

After a long time we finally have an update for the most used video player app for Android, the MX Player. The MX Player is widely available across all the major platforms like Android, iOS or windows phone OS.

The MX Player app for Android is now updated for Android. This update is already live in the Google Play Store. It comes with an update size of 8.52 MB.  It comes with software update version 1.9.6 with this update.

Some major changes coming to MX Player are improvements to HEVC 12 bit playback, fixes for start up crash, fixes to media scanner crash and much more fixes are on board with this update.

  • Fixed an issue with pinch zooming which affects the aspect ratio

  • Fixed some SSA subtitle rendering issues
  • TV mode option is now hidden on non TV devices with touchscreen to avoid accidental brightness/volume gesture issues
