Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google was in Delhi yesterday in Sri Ram College of Commerce. He was there in a Q&A session with students of the college. This was his first visit to India as CEO of Google. Last year he visited India as head off Android in Google but now as a CEO.
Students were asking questions to him & he was replying them freely. One important question came up for the future of Android & it was the name of next version of Android. Someone asked why don’t they use any Indian dessert as a name of Android. Some suggestions were ‘Peda’ , ‘Neyappam’ and ‘nankhatai’ etc.
He replied in a very funny was “When I meet my mom,I will ask for suggestions”
Further he said
“Maybe what I’ll do next time, is when we’re working on the next release of Android, Android N, maybe we’ll do an online poll on what the name should be. And if all Indians vote… I think we can make it happen!”
So as per the above statement it’s clear that Google coluld choose an online for the next name of Android which will be Android ‘N’ .
