Google has now released a new amazing feature to the Gmail app.
The latest update to Gmail for Androidbring this cool new feature. With the latest update, you now send and receive money from Gmail app for Android devices. The announcement comes directly from Google on their support page. You can send money to any email address means it is not necessary for the receiver to have a Gmail account. You can also accept money that someone has sent you and can also request someone to send money. Currently the feature is available only in the US only. There isn’t any word about global availability of this.
Send money with Gmail:
- Open the Gmail app.
- In the bottom right corner of the screen, tap .
- In the top right, tap Send money.
- Enter the amount you want to send and choose a payment method.
- Tap Continue.
- Add a memo (optional).
- Tap Attach money.
- To send the email, tap .
If you need more time to write your email, you can save it as a draft and send it later.
Receive an email with money attached:
The first time you receive money through Gmail, you’ll need to add a debit card to transfer the money to.Whenever someone sends you money through Gmail, it will automatically transfer to that card.
To claim money sent to you through Gmail the first time:
- Open the Gmail app.
- Open the message with attached money.
- Tap Transfer to bank Add debit card.
- Enter your card details.
- Tap Claim money.
Request money from someone by email:
- Open the Gmail app.
- In the bottom left, tap .
- In the top right, tap Request money.
- Enter the amount you want to request.
- Tap Continue.
- Add a memo (optional).
- Tap Attach request.
- To send the email, tap .
- If you need more time to write your email, you can save it as a draft and send it later.
