Oppo to manufacture 10 lakh 4G phones in India

Chinese Smartphone maker Oppo will start manufacturing 4G LTE phones in India. According to Mike Wang, chief executive of OPPO,  they will start manufacturing 10 lakh-odd 4G phones a month at Noida from August.

Wang did not reveal any information on specific model. But 4G smartphones will come in the price range of Rs 10000-20000.

“We are yet to decide on the specific models that will be manufactured in Noida.”

Wang also has to say this about Foxconn manufacturing:

Foxconn would continue to manufacture smartphones for OPPO in India” even after the Noida factory is up and running. At present, Foxconn has eight production lines at its Chennai factory dedicated for OPPO’s smartphone requirements in the country.
