Ringing Bells to refund pre-booking money of Freedom 251 by this week

Ringing Bells president Ashok Chadha has confirmed to Media that the Freedom 251 booking refund money will reach to buyers’ accounts positively this week.

According to Ringing Bells president Ashok Chadha, the money – safe and being kept in an escrow account with a bank – will positively reach the respective accounts this week.

“To refund the money that was facilitated by payment gateways CCAvenue and PayU Biz, we had given a letter to the respective bank later last week. Now, the only hiccup is what we call procedural delay and I hope that people will get back their money this week,” Chadha told IANS.

NOIDA based Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd. launched their much anticipated world’s cheapest smartphone called as Freedom 251. The smartphone was priced at just Rs.251 . The company had already announced availability of ‘Cash On Delivery‘ payment option on it’s Freedom 251 smartphone which lets you make payment when you receive the product. The company & the smartphone both were in lots of controversies with their phone. The Managing Director Mr. Mohit Goel tried to answer some queries regarding the phone.  We have already put this phone against some phones with nearly similar specifications.

Now Indian TV channel ABP News’s website reports that Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd. are refunding the boking money to customers. The company claims that they have returned back money of first 30000 orders. According to the company MD Mr. Mohit Goel, the company has refunded all the booking money to customers & now they will accept only Cash On Delivery payment method.  It is also very much clear that the booking & delivery will commence according for First Come First Serve basis.

Company president Mr. Ashok Chaddha already said, “The company has decided that we will, henceforth, offer ‘cash on delivery’ mode of payments for those who have placed an order for the ‘Freedom 251’ smartphone. This will ensure further transparency and clear any misgivings” furthermore “Our humble beginning to provide a high-tech gadget that will benefit all in the hinterlands and bridge the huge gap that clearly exists between the metros and semi-urban/rural areas is in keeping with the government’s initiatives

The company had ties up with payment gateway provider PayUbiz for payment solutions. Payumoney is a payment gateway website that takes money from customers & deliver to vendors when the job is completed or product is delivered to customers.
