Last J series introduced from Samsung were in 2016 as the Samsung Galaxy J(2016) .

Now it seems Samsung is working on 2017 Samsung J series devices. Samsung Galaxy J7 of 2017 was already spotted on the benchmarking site GFXbench. The latest news tells us about the Samsung Galaxy J5(2017) . Latest leak shows the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) on benchmarking site Geekbench.  As per the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with 2GB of RAM in it. It also gets a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7870 SoC under the hood. Other things include Android Marshmallow. Presence of year older Android Marshmallow is disappointing as currently​we have Android Nougat as the latest version of the OS.
