Samsung may have shipped 9.5 million Galaxy S7 phones in Q1 2016

After some shocks in last year, looks like Samsung is now on right track. In the recent past, Samsung profits were down due to tough competition from Apple’s premium phone at one end and cheaper Android devices at the other. But Today According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S7 shipped more units than expected in first quarter of 2016.

Samsung may have shipped 9.5 million S7 phones in the first quarter, significantly more than the initial estimate of 7 million. So it gives us clear indication, Samsung is coming back strongly in the market.

Asset Management fund manager Park Jung-hoon said;

“It looks like the sell-in numbers have been pretty good and analysts are raising their sales forecasts for the S7 this year,”

“The firm is pushing up volume in the mid-to-low tier to protect market share. Starting S7 sales about a month earlier than the S6 to take advantage of Apple not having new products out yet was also a good move.”
