Verizon’s Ellipsis 8 tablet is now getting updated to Android Nougat

US based network provider Verizon unveiled the Ellipsis 8 tablet back in November last year. The device was launched with Android Movies on board.

Now the red carrier is pushing a new update to the Ellipsis 8 tablet. The update brings Android Nougat to the tablet from Verizon. The software version for this update is SUN1_20A10 on Verizon.

Changelog:

  • Multi-window mode: Use two apps at the same time. Drag the divider to resize the app windows, or to maximize either of the active apps.
  • Quicker multitasking: You can now double-tap the recent apps button to quickly switch between your two most recently used apps.
  • Data saver: You can now enable Data Saver to limit apps from using data when not in use.
  • Notification prioritization: You can choose to show notifications silently, block all notifications or don’t silence or block.
  • Customizable Quick Settings: You can edit the order of this list to ensure that only the most important shortcuts are listed.
  • Bug fixes and additional benefits:
    • Improved data speeds on LTE networks
    • Improved camera focus and image sharpness
    • Fixed Android Data usage meter
    • Added support for micro SD card up to 256 GB capacity
    • Latest Android security patches and bug fixes
