OEM have started updating their smartphones to the latest Android Marshmallow and carriers are helping them in updating their device to the latest Marshmallow. Verizon’s LG V10 has joined the Marshmallow list, starting tomorrow V10 will start receiving Marshmallow update. According to Verizon the update will arrive as software version VS99022A, update size was not specified by Verizon, but it shouldn’t be a large update.
The update will carry Now on Tap access, the benefits of Doze on battery life when idle, clearly upfront control over app permissions, an actual silent mode, more control over notifications, and bunch of bug fixes and enhancements that we typically see with updates.
The update will start rolling out on 24 March, be sure to check your device for the update. You can check for update by going to Settings>About Phone>Software Updates>Check for Updates.
