Today VLC released a big update for iOS devices with some brand new features. Update brings some new features and bug fixes as well. VLC 2.7 new version includes support for touch id for security in your apps. Also includes iOS 9 split screen feature as well.
Some other improvements like Spotlight search, support for albums , URL sync for streaming between devices also included Apple watch. VLC also announced that they will make app for Apple TV in September 2016.
BTW, VLC for iOSapp is useful for watching videos on your iphone very smoothly. It supports streaming as well.
