WhatsApp to support end to end encryption for calls & group chats

Due to the privacy crisis in ongoing FBI Vs Apple tussle, all messaging services are now in action to safeguard the user’s rights. As a part of that, Facebook is reportedly planning to brings out end to end encryption for WhatsApp. Encryption will occur on WhatsApp call and group chat as well.

According to the Guardian report, some other companies are already looking forward to bring out encryption technology to their apps and service. According to reports, Snapchat has already started exploring secure messaging system. Google is also planning to bring out encryption to its mail service. So all companies are now aware on secure and privacy of their users.

Within weeks, Facebook’s messaging service WhatsApp plans to expand its secure messaging service so that voice calls are also encrypted, in addition to its existing privacy features. The service has some one billion monthly users. Facebook is also considering beefing up security of its own Messenger tool.
