Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming MIUI software release i.e. MIUI 9 on 26th July, 14:00 (GMT+8) at China National Convention Center. On this day, Xiaomi will talk about the MIUI 9 software optimizations as well as new features.
In addition, the Chinese company is also launching a new Mi device dubbed as Mi 5X. The Mi 5x was recently spotted online revealing its design and specs in detail.
Just so you know, it has been 442 days since MIUI 8 launch.
Here’s what we know about MIUI 9 so far:
- Redesigned Lock Screen shortcut.
- Added Split-Screen feature.
- Added 3 new themes besides the default theme.(unbounded and the Symphony of the tuxedo black 3 theme)
- Removed rarely used features.
MIUI 9 is set to release on a group of Xiaomi smartphones (reported earlier) and the update will be pushed in batches so that MIUI 9 offers a great user experience in terms of stability, smoothness, and better battery backup.
