Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 here in India, today. The smartphone is set to go on sale on 23 January (12PM) via Mi Store and the exclusive partner, Flipkart.
Alongside the launch, Xiaomi also teased about the Android Nougat update for the smartphone. The company is already testing the software upgrade for Redmi Note 4 behind the scenes and it is very much eager to get it out to Mi fans, soon. The phone currently runs on MIUI8 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

However, it is unclear at the moment whether Xiaomi meant update for the Redmi Note 4 only or it includes the devices that are already available with the users like Redmi Note 3, Note 3S Prime etc. We will wait and watch what Xiaomi has in store for the Mi community in the coming days.
