Xiaomi has now started development for the Android Nougat update for Xiaomi Mi 5. Xiaomi Mi 5 is the current flagship device from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched with Android Marshmallow based on MIUI 7 which was later update to MIUI 8.
Now the company has announced hiring of Alpha testers for Mi 5. Xiaomi is inviting Mi 5 users to join as Alpha testers for Xiaomi.
Official blogpost, ” On the 18th of May, the Android 7.0 Nougat was officially announced, by the 22nd of August, the first release of Android 7.0 Nougat had been out. MIUI team has been working continuously to get Nougat working on our Mi devices. Finally, MIUI 8 based on Nougat for Mi 5 is now on the table for you to enjoy! What to be expected for MIUI 8 that is based on Android 7.0? Here, we are sending our sincere invitations to all Mi 5 users to experience the whole new “MIUI 8“.”
The current recruitment is for MIUI 8 China Alpha ROM Team. For the global ROM, the company will start recruitment in next week.
Eligibility:
- Main and most important thing is, should/must own Mi 5
- Should have interest to test and some knowledge about ROMs
- Must be active in the forum
- Willing to discuss with other members in both QQ alpha group and forum
- QQ is a must, no alternate app
