Sony Xperia X and X compact receiving January security patches

It has been a while ago since we reported about the availability of January security update for the Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X performance.

Now, the company has made the updates available on Xperia X and Xperia X compact smartphones too. Coming in as build number 34.2.A.0.292, it ships with the latest Android security fixes for the January month.

The update is rolling out as over the air update (OTA), and may take a while before you start to receive a notification prompt on your device. However, you can always check for updates manually by heading to settings on your device.
