Xiaomi launched the Redmi 3s and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones in India on 3rd August. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime was available for purchase on 9th August.
There were 90000 units of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime made available for purchase on the first day open sale. All the 90000 units of Redmi 3S Prime were out of stock within 8 minutes of the sale starting.
The company head Mr. manu Kr. jain said, “We did a launch sale without registration for the first time ever, as we were confident that we had a significant volume with more than 90,000 units. However, I am extremely humbled and at the same time stumped by the incredible response we have got for Redmi 3S Prime” Further he emphasized on thr sales numbers and preparation of the sale, “For the first sale that we did yesterday, we wanted to bring the highest possible quantity and we brought 90,000 units. Everything was added to cart in a few minutes and it took two-and-a-half hours to ship out everything,”
The company will be having another open sale on 17th August for the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones on both the websites. He also said that they are scaling up the production to meet the demand, “We are scaling up the facility at Andhra Pradesh. We are adding more lines and more capacity to the same plant and once we exhaust it, we are thinking of adding more factories along with our partners Foxconn”
