Cyanogen has confirmed that Cyanogen Will remain an OS focused company. Recently there were reports saying that Cyanogen is laying off employees. There were nearly 20℅ of layoff overall which was huge considering the number of employees tbey have.
But now company CEO Mr. Kirt McMaster has confirmed that they are still an OS company. He denied the news that they are focusing on apps instead of ROMs. He said, “We are an OS company and our mission of creating an Open Android stands.”

Now further he tweeted about the pivoting to apps,

Company has also published a new blog post regarding this issue, “CyanogenMod isn’t going anywhere, nor has Cyanogen Inc. discontinued it’s efforts towards the goal of bringing it to a larger audience”
