Microsoft, Google agree to withdraw regulatory complaints against each other

Microsoft Corp and Alphabet Inc’s Google have reached an agreement to drop down regulatory complaints against each other. This means that Google and Microsoft have sorted out their pending patent disputes and have reached an agreement acceptable to both parties.

Microsoft spokesperson said in an email: 

“Microsoft has agreed to withdraw its regulatory complaints against Google, reflecting our changing legal priorities. We will continue to focus on competing vigorously for business and for customers,”

According to the Google: “… Following our patent agreement, we’ve now agreed to withdraw regulatory complaints against one another,”

Both companies are agreed to settling 18 cases in the United States and Germany which are patent infringement against each other.

According to the sources , Microsoft’s decision to withdraw from legal battles with Google shows that its legal priorities have changed.
