Samsung launches UFS memory cards with upto 530MBps transfer speed

Samsung launched the world’s first UFS memory cards with higher speed transfer.

We have seen that the company has already switched to UFS storage instead of eMMC in the smartphones of current generation.  Niw the company is taking that to one step further by introducing the UFS 1.0 based Micro SD cards. The UFS 1.0 based Micro SD cards come in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB & 256GB storage options. These Micro SD cards provide read speed of upto 530MBps compared to 93MBps of regular steerage cards. The design of UFS based cards looks similar to normal micro SD cards but in actual the pin layout is different from other cards.

Sr. VP of Samsung Electronics, Jung-bae Lee said, “Our new 256GB UFS card will provide an ideal user experience for digitally-minded consumers and lead the industry in establishing the most competitive memory card solution. By launching our new high-capacity, high-performance UFS card line-up, we are changing the growth paradigm of the memory card market to prioritize performance and user convenience above all.”
